A K-9 officer in Colorado Springs is being credited with two arrests this week.

Thursday afternoon, officers with the Tactical Enforcement Unit and the K-9 Unit were investigating a tip about a man wanted on five felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants.

Officers said when they arrived at a home on Sunset Drive, they saw the wanted man on the front porch.

"When TEU Officers attempted to arrest him, he lunged to the front door in attempt to evade arrest by flight," according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police said K-9 Broc made "contact with the suspect’s leg, preventing him from gaining entry into the residence."

The suspect was arrested.

Monday afternoon, Broc was with the BATTLE (Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement) South task force when they spotted a stolen vehicle and started surveillance.

When the car stopped at an apartment complex, Broc helped arrest the driver on a parole violation, a felony domestic violence arrest warrant and on suspicion of aggravated motor vehicle theft, police said.
