COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- An 11-year-old has been arrested for an assault at a middle school in Colorado Springs.
Police said the boy was arrested on a charge of second-degree assault after the incident at Carmel Middle School.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reported that the victim, also 11 years old, was stabbed with a pencil and suffered a punctured lung that required trauma surgery and a temporary breathing tube.
The incident happened between classes, the newspaper reported.
