11:49 a.m.: Firefighters say the fire on Buffalo Mountain is about 30 acres but throwing out embers that are starting smaller fires.
The Buffalo Mountain Fire is estimated at roughly 30 acres right now, and it is sending out embers that are setting spot fires within 250 homes of structres in Wildernest. The Wildernest and Mesa Cortina neighborhoods above 20 Grand Road are subject to evacuations.

11:46 a.m.: Firefighters are in the process of evacuating neighborhoods near Silverthorne:
Evacuations of Wildernest and Mesa Cortina are in progress. We have our full wildfire response occurring, and have requested hand crews and aircraft.

11:40 a.m.: A large plume of smoke is visible from the fire near Silverthorne. We're working to get more information.

11:30 a.m.: Summit Fire and U.S. Forest Service crews are responding to a wildfire on Buffalo Mountain. Summit Fire & EMS is asking that Mesa Cortina and Wildernest residents above 20 Grand Road to evacuate their homes immediately.
