7Everyday Hero Glenda Bredeson gives her time to help Colorado's tiniest citizens.

"I love what I do here," said Bredeson.

Several days a week, you can find Bredeson at a small strip mall in Arvada working with a non-profit called Warm Hearts Warm Babies.

"I have done this for 16-years.  I do it for the babies," explained Bredeson.

Warm Hearts Warm Babies provides clothing, blankets and essential items for premature infants and newborns in crisis.

"These babies are important and it's not their fault that they were born into the situations they're in," said Bredeson.

The group provides close to 6,000 items every month to babies and their mothers.

"Anybody that is having a baby and doesn't have anything or doesn't have the ability to have something," said volunteer Lori Kratzer.

"They need to know someone cares," added Bredeson.

Warm Hearts Warm Babies has seven work groups with a total of more than 400 volunteers. The groups are located in Arvada, Brighton, Colorado Springs, Loveland, Thornton, and Aspen Park. Each team makes booties, blankets, and layettes for the babies and their new moms.

"Our goodie bag has a toy, a bottle, a toiletry, socks and a hat and booties," said Bredeson.

All the volunteers take time out of their weekly schedules because they feel someone needs to care.

"It is needed because there are so many unwed mothers out there," said Bredeson.
