DENVER — Wednesday, Sept. 18 is National Cheeseburger Day.
Did you know the cheeseburger was invented in Denver? There a stone markeron Speer Blvd., just west of I-25, at Firth Court, that says the cheeseburger was invented by Louis Ballast at his restaurant on this spot in 1935. Ballast even got the trademark on the name.
