Want to travel for the holidays?
AAA reviewed three years of booking data and found the best time to buy tickets for the holidays is Sept. 25 and 26 through late October.
But how do you know if you're getting a good deal, or the best deal?
Several websites have features to help:
Google flights
Search your travel cities and dates on Google flights,then hit the button for the date graph or price graph to see prices for other dates.
Kayak
Search flight dates and cities on Kayak and Kayak will offer you "price alerts." They'll notify you when the price changes.
Hooper app
The Hooper app promises to predict prices with 95 percent accuracy up to one year in advance.
AirFareWatchDog
Go to the AirFareWatchDog websiteand you'll see a list of today's top fares for your city. Search the city you want to fly to and you'll be offered a button that says "track this route."
Fare Compare
Fare Compare also offers to email you when there's a price change.
