DENVER -- Want to go skiing or snowboarding, but don't want to pay $100+ for a lift ticket?
Then it's time to get to know the Colorado "Gems" -- the smaller Colorado Ski Areas and Resorts.
There are eight Colorado ski areas nicknamed the Gems -- Arapahoe Basin, Cooper, Eldora Mountain Resort, Loveland Ski Area, Monarch Mountain, Powderhorn Resort, Ski Granby Ranch and Sunlight Mountain Resort.
"Free of paid parking, free of crowds, free of lift lines, free of hassles. With down-to-earth prices, these resorts offer instant access to world-class terrain," Colorado Ski Country said.
To encourage skiers and snowboarders to visit the Gems, Colorado Ski Country has created the Gems Card.
The card gives visitors two 2-for-1 lift tickets or two 30 percent off lift ticket coupons at each resort.
The Gems card costs $25 and it is not transferable.
Learn more and order the card on Colorado Ski Country's website.
