DENVER -- The Colorado Public Utilities Commission is urging customers of Special Ops Storage and Moving to quickly pick up any property they have held in storage with the company before 5 p.m. Oct. 8.
If they don’t, the landlord of the Denver warehouse that Special Ops used may dump the items, state regulators warned on Thursday.
The PUC revoked the company’s household moving permit in July after it failed to pay a civil penalty of $1,265 for overcharging a customer. The company, its principals, directors, officers and managers are barred from holding a Colorado household goods moving permit for three years.
Special Ops staff lost access to the storage units when owner Rose Properties LLC seized them. People whose property is still being held in storage should call Kristie Allen of Everwest Property Services at 303-248-7201 to discuss retrieving their items.
The moving company was profiled in two Contact7 reports in which a Denver Air Force veteran couple raised concerns after the company failed to deliver their valuables.
