DENVER -- A new affordable housing complex is coming to Denver. On Monday, the city is breaking ground on the new East Range Crossing apartment complex.
It will be a 252-unit housing development located in Green Valley Ranch. It is close to the RTD Pena station light rail stop.
At the intersection of N. Dunkirk and E. 59th Ave., there is already construction equipment and a fence blocking off the area.
The official ground-breaking will happen at 10 a.m. and Mayor Michael Hancock as well as several other city officials will be in attendance.
The apartment complex will feature a workout room, a yoga area, playgrounds, pools, firepits, a business center and a community kitchen among other amenities.
The apartments themselves will be equipped with high ceilings, washers and dryers in each unit, walk-in closets and a central air-conditioning system.
The developer, Dominium Apartments, is based out of Minnesota. It expects the project to be completed by summer of 2019.
