LONGMONT, Colo. – Boulder County will soon be home to a development of smaller, reasonably-priced homes.
Developer Boulder Creek Neighborhoods plans to build 102 of its “wee-Cottages” on a plot of land across the street from the Longmont Recreation Center and the City of Longmont Museum. The homes will be part of a neighborhood the developer is calling Blue Vista.
The wee-Cottages range in size from 896 to 1,354 square feet with different floorplans and configurations, including two- and three-bedroom homes. Prices will start in the low $300,000 range, according to the developer.
In addition, 27 of the homes will be included in Boulder County’s affordable housing program.
A wee-Cottage development in Stapleton has seen a lot of interest – buyers quickly snatched up the first round of homes when they became available in February and only eight homes remained as of Thursday.
The Blue Vista wee-Cottages will start selling in May. Several hundred people have already expressed interest, according to Boulder Creek.
