DENVER – The cost of renting an apartment in Denver remained essentially unchanged last month, according to the latest data from rental listing site ApartmentList.
The median cost of a one-bedroom rental was $1,050 in April, according to ApartmentList, while a two-bedroom rents for $1,320.
While those numbers don’t represent a change from the previous month, rents are up 1.6 percent compare to the same time last year. Statewide, rents are up 1.9 percent and the national average is 1.5 percent.
The biggest increases in the metro area in the past year have been in Castle Rock, which has seen rents climb by 1.8 percent in the past month and 6 percent in the past year. Other cities with large increases include Arvada (4.5 percent year-over-year), Brighton (4.4 percent year-over-year) and Broomfield (4.3 percent year-over-year).
