DENVER – The Rocky Mountain region’s largest holiday lighting event is coming back for the 28th year to the Mile High City.

Brighter than ever, the Denver Zoo's "Zoo Lights" will showcase more than two million lights spread over 70 acres of land.

So what's new in 2018? A spectacular Santa and Mrs. Claus Workshop Show, an immersive Asian-inspired Festival of Lanterns, and the grand opening of the zoo's new 4D theater featuring the family-friendly movie, Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas 4D.

Other festivities include a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will take the spotlight as she spins a captivating magical tale that brings the holiday season to life, while you get cozy with s’mores or a signature drink like a Mrs. Claus Cookie-Cream Dream.

Denver Zoo’s “Zoo Lights” is running nightly until Jan. 6 from 5:30-9 p.m., and for the first time guests can customize their experience by choosing their preferred evening, entry time and experience enhancements, according to zoo officials.

Tickets range between $0 to 20 for non-members and between $0-15 for members of the Denver Zoo. There are also special discount nights, with $3 off regular ticket admission.
