DENVER — We love having our families all together, but we all get to that point when we started to get stir-crazy from sitting around the house with food-for-days.

There are so many things you can do with your family without breaking the bank, and we've got you covered.

Here are 7 fun things you can do with your family on a tight budget:

1. The Downtown Denver Rink presented by Capital One & Christkindl Market: Get in the holiday spirit with ice skating in Denver's Skyline Park. Free ice skating is available seven days at this outdoor ice skating rink. If you need a pair, you can rent them cheap: $6 for kids 12 and under and $8 for adults 13 and older. Plus, the Christkindl Market is right across the 16th Street Mall, and features festive music, food and shopping.

2. While you're in Denver, explore the colorful Crush Walls in the RiNo Art District. The murals make for great family photos, and a shared hot cocoa at Crema or sweet treat at Denver Central Market hits the spot after a crisp walk.

3. For our next found of family fun, mini golf to the rescue! Several indoor courses around town offer discounts over the holidays, including Monster Mini Golf in Centennial, which is open the day after Thanksgiving. Here's a money-saving tip: Check Groupon for deals at mini golf courses, skating rinks, trampoline parks and other indoor activities.

4. So, maybe you've had enough talking - why not go to the movies and enjoy a little quiet time together? Yes, the holiday blockbusters such as "Ralph Breaks The Internet" are now out. But on a budget, Elvis Cinemas is open on Thanksgiving afternoon, showing family movies such as "Smallfoot," "The Incredibles 2," and a Groupon deal makes it even cheaper.

"It's an inexpensive way for families to catch a show together," said Aaron Cheek, the General Manager at Elvis Cinemas. "For $16 you can get four half price admissions, four popcorns and four drinks."

5. The weather is supposed to be nice for "Fresh Air Friday." The day after Thanksgiving, the whole family can 'get out and give thanks' at any Colorado State Park because admission is free.

6. A day trip to the mountains doesn't have to be expensive. Little kids love riding the free Breckenridge gondola and doing a few snow angels at the top. Breckenridge has some small playgrounds along Main Street, and the History Museum inside the Visitor's Center. It's worth it to make a stop for a cookie at the Mountain Top Cookie Shop for the drive home.

7. Holiday fun. Go see the many holiday lighting ceremonies or go see Santa. You can get your wish list in early, and some places, such as Bass Pro Shops, will give you a free photo and free crafts. For more holiday fun ideas, check out Mile High On The Cheap.
