DENVER — Fighting cancer sucks under normal circumstances. Fighting cancer during a pandemic is just plain horrible.

That's why members of the Denver7 team have been taking part in the American Cancer Society’s Colorado NovemBeard campaign for the third year in a row. The men let their beards grow as conversation starters to raise money for the ACS’s cancer research efforts as well as programs that provide information and assistance to patients in Colorado. Remote resources have become even more critical for cancer patients during the COVID-19 era.

You can help, by calling 1-866-699-1726 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 30 and donating to the American Cancer Society or by clicking on any of the links below.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Colorado, and one-in-three people will be diagnosed with some form of the disease at some point during their life. This year alone in Colorado, 2,270 men will be newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and another 540 will die. About 120 Colorado men will die of melanoma in 2019, many of them part of the 1,830 who will be learning they have the disease.
