DENVER -- A new piece of art can add a splash of color to a room. Sometimes that piece art may be on the floor.
At Design Wright Studios and Artisan Rug Gallery in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood, there’s a little something for everyone.
5280 Home editor Hilary Oswald showed Theresa Marchetta around the showrooms recently.
She says there are rugs for every taste, from contemporary wool and silk designs with lots of texture to antique and vintage pieces. Some are affordable. Some are more long-term investments.
“High quality rugs you can pass on to your children and grandchildren,” Oswald said. “As long as they like your taste, they will keep them.”
Oswald says staff at Artisan Rug Gallery will even bring the rugs to your home and lay them out so you can see how they will fit and feel in your space.
“I think rugs are great ‘cause you can add color to the room and then pick some neutral pieces and add color to the room,” Oswald added.
Design Wright Studios is the only place in Denver where you can check out the work of mega national designer Kelly Wearstler.
“It’s very glam,” Oswald said. “You can pick a piece from her line and build around that.”
