Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is having their first ever Book Festival on May 19th from 10am to 8pm. A one day celebration of literary arts designed for the entire family and with just general admission you can take part in several hand-on activities, Kids Storytime, panel discussions, fun and games, staged reading, writing workshops, an all-day exhibit hall with publishers, authors, rare and used books and more!

Have you ever wondered how a writer’s first publication impacted the rest of their writing career or how many hours a day they spend writing, now is the time get some of your questions answered! For the cost of $25 enjoy brunch in an intimate setting with a Local Author catered by Steuben’s Arvada; you can choose your table based on book types and here you’ll find the list of participating authors.

Lastly, end your evening with Keynote Speaker Laura Moriarty, a New York Times best-selling author, she will discuss her latest novel “American Heart” about an American girl helping a Muslim woman fleeing from internment and her previous novel “The Chaperone”, soon to be released as a feature film, about the woman who chaperoned an irreverent Louise Brooks to New York City in 1922. In addition, will answer questions and sign copies of her books.
