DENVER – Denver’s largest Halloween event is celebrating its 20th season of screams this Friday at Elitch Gardens.

The Elitch Gardens’ Fright Fest is returning Sept. 29 for a month-long festival of frights, boasting tricks and treats for the little ones throughout the day and terrifying haunted houses after the sun goes down.

The events at Elitch Gardens will be broken up in two phases:

Family by Day festivities will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, where the little ones can find free candy on the Trick or Treat Trail and pick out a free pumpkin in the Elitch Pumpkin Patch. Other activities include a costume contest, best scream contest and various themed challenges.

Fright by Night begins starting at 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Prepare to be scared in the park’s haunted attractions Big Top Freaks, No Vacancy, Séance and TERRORtorries. Guests at the park will also find flesh hungry clowns, zombies and monsters of all kinds lurking around every corner of these multi-sensory experiences.

Fright Fest will run on weekends through October 29. Fright Fest is free with park admission while some haunted attractions are an additional charge. For more information, visit the Fright Fest website.
