6:05 a.m. — DPS Superintendent Susana Cordova walked back into the room with other DPS staff to say they wanted just one small change: a signature line. As a result, the teacher strike has ended. More information coming soon. More details here.

5:40 a.m. — The union has proposed that educators would be placed on a new salary schedule on Aug. 1 of this year. The proposal also has starting pay at $45,800 for teachers. As of now, DCTA has not sent any plans to teachers today as far as striking locations and times.

5:25am — The DCTA and district officials returned to the bargaining table to discuss new proposal. This might just end the strike, said Rob Gould, lead negotiator for the Denver's teachers union. Watch the negotiations live:

3:30am — DCTA representatives and DPS officials are still talking. Right now, negotiations are happening behind closed doors. Our crew inside the negotiating room in the basement of the Denver Central Library says it will be another 30 minutes before we get an update. Devoted teachers remain at the library and have been sleeping in hallways as they wait for an update.
