It's corn maze season! Time to go exploring and hopefully not get too lost...
The Denver Botanic Gardens corn maze at Chatfield Farms is open.
At this maze, you don't just wander around, visitors are asked to help Farmer Green find his six lost animals.
Before we go inside, you'll want a map. You have three options. You can borrow a laminated map...
You can use your cell phone to take a picture of the map...
Or you can print a map from the Denver Botanic Garden's website.
Once you have a map, pick a side to start with -- the right or the left.
Hint, there are four animals on the right side of the maze and two animals on the left side of the maze.
As you walk through the maze you may see corn!
You're not allowed to eat it. You're not allowed to pick it. But it's still cool to see.
If you need a little help finding your way, there are two, 15-foot tall illuminated bridges, one on each side of the maze.
Check out the view from the top!
You can see quite a distance and plot your next few turns.
If you need help, there's an employee on a elevated stand with a bull horn who can give you directions.
(Note, this especially helpful for families with small children who need a bathroom quickly.)
As for those farm animals -- we found all six, but it did take two tries on one side.
