1. Denver’s Cinco de Mayo Festival

What: Denver’s annual Cinco de Mayo “Celebrate Culture” Festival is taking over Civic Center Park this weekend as regional and international dancers will showcase the beauty of the Cinco de Mayo celebration in Latin American culture. There will also be Chihuahua races, a taco eating contest, a low-rider showcase, as well as a children’s carnival. A parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

2. The Great Western Alpaca Show

What: Is the apocalypse upon us? Who knows! But here’s one thing that’s certain: The alpacalypse is definitely happening this weekend as hundreds of them convene in Denver for the Great Western Alpaca Show at the National Western Complex.
