1. Denver Art Museum Free Day

What: Enjoy free admission to the Denver Art Museum.  Note that special exhibitions will require a ticketed admission.

2. Cherry Creek Art Festival

What: Extending from 2nd to 3rd Avenues and from Clayton to Steele Streets, the annual Cherry Creek Art Festival brings more than 250 artists who will showcase their art and perform live music throughout the day. There will also be food vendors and interactive activities for the kids.

When: Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

3. Last weekend to catch 'The Book of Mormon' in Denver

What: One of the most highly acclaimed Broadway musicals of the decade is in Denver one last weekend! The musical comedy tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Uganda to spread the teachings of their religion. The play, which had its first stage performance in 2011, mocks various Mormon beliefs and practices.

Where: Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1101 13th St. in Denver

When: Saturday, July 7 2018 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Admission: General admission tickets start at $35, and prices vary by date and availability.

4. Not the World Cup, but close: Chivas vs. Necaxa

What: One of Mexico's most well-known soccer teams is touring the U.S. as part of their pre-season sporting events and they're stopping in Denver this weekend. If you're still crazy about the World Cup but are bummed Mexico (or whoever you were rooting for) is no longer playing, this a great opportunity to show your love of soccer!

5. Fahim Anwar at Comedy Works

What: He's appeared on Conan, Late Night With Seth Meyers and performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Now, Fahim Amwar is bringing his stand-up comedy to the Mile High City.

When: Saturday, July 7 at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.; Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m.

6. Midnight Madness: "Jaws" at the Esquire Theatre 

What: Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss star in director Steven Spielberg's early thriller, easily one of the scariest movies ever made. When a great white shark devours the tourist season of a New England resort island, there’s panic in the water. A "fishing trip" to catch the monstrous man-eater ensues, and Spielberg films it with so much power and suspense and scares that Jaws has had audiences jumping out of their seats for decades.

7. Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market

What: Farmers’ Markets are generally known to be open for a very limited amount of time in the fall, but that’s not the case for Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market in Wheat Ridge, which is open year-round. Come and show for produce, honey, jams and jellies, as well as alpaca wool products, paintings, jewelry and more.
