DENVER - This fish wasn't going out without a fight and a local man has the bite mark to prove it.
The "fish are biting" took on a whole new meaning for fishing guide Nathan Zelinsky who reeled in a monster northern pike at Spinney Reservoir over the weekend.
As Nathan was posing for pictures with the 40-inch fish, the pike turned and bit his face. This fish tale would be hard to believe if it weren't for the photos showing the damage - ouch!
Nathan says he is in good spirits about it, saying after catching over 1,500 trophy pikes this is the first time a “fish has ever gotten even with me.”
