New Music: Anderson .Paak

Anderson .Paak Delivers the Gospel and Wins a Grammy Fresh off winning a Grammy for Best Rap Performance with his song Bubblin’, Anderson .Paak will come to the Fillmore Auditorium Wednesday, Feb. 13. He’ll bring his 'Andy's Beach Club World Tour' to promote his recently released Oxnard LP, which debuted as the #1 independent album in the world.
.Paak’s “single of the summer” Bubblin’ won the Grammy in a tie with King's Dead from the Black Panther soundtrack by Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake.
It was his second stint on music’s biggest night. Paak earned his first two career Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Malibu for 2016.
For the 59th Grammy Awards' Believe in Music campaign, Anderson .Paak teamed with the Recording Academy to create a short film celebrating music through a gospel choir and a congregation of joyful churchgoers.

A drummer, .Paak started playing the instrument at a church in his hometown of Oxnard, Calif. when he was 11 years old.
Anderson has undeniably perfected his sound with Oxnard, wonderfully alchemizing a cross-section of musical styles as his soulful essence harkens back to some of the most iconic voices of the seventies, yet embodying a raw uniqueness fully present in the now.
