Gather your friends, family, co-workers and join us at the ninth annual Jodi’s Race! On June 9th, countless will come together at Denver's City Park to honor those battling ovarian cancer, to support the survivors and to pay homage to loved ones who have lost their battle.
Ovarian Cancer is the deadliest gynecologic cancer and remains mysterious to many because there is no screening test. Nearly 80 percent of women are diagnosed in the late stages of the disease which minimize their chances of survival. Being aware of the most common symptoms such as bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, difficulty eating or feeling full quickly, and urinary urgency or frequency can lead to early detection and save lives.
Join our very own Theresa Marchetta, an advocate of ovarian cancer, for this true celebration of life! The bash will begin with a Survivors’ Breakfast; there will be Tents in Team Village decorated with streamers, photos and memorabilia, with awards given for best t-shirts and most creative tent. Top fundraisers and fastest 5K finishers will also receive prizes! All race participants will also receive a teal egg with a prize inside.
Visit www.jodisrace.org/ for online registration; all profits will benefit the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance which sole mission is to provide support to those affected by ovarian cancer and to promote awareness and early detection of ovarian cancer though advocacy and education.
