1. Denver film festival

What: The 40th annual Denver Film Festival continues this weekend.

When: The festival runs until Nov, 12.

Where: Screenings and events will take place at various venues, including the Sie FilmCenter, UA Denver Pavilions and the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. 

Admission: Ticket prices start at $15.

2. First Friday

What: Kick off Denver Arts Week with the First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe Drive!  Year-round, rain or shine, join us on First Fridays to visit more than 100 art galleries, artists' studios, and creative businesses.  A free guided shuttle loops every 20 minutes from the 10th and Osage light rail stop, down Kalamath and back north on Santa Fe Drive.

3. Free night at the museums

What: Denver's best museums are open late and admission is free. Shuttles make it easy to explore all evening!

4. Denver arts week

What: The eleventh annual Denver Arts Week is an eight-day celebration of all things art in The Mile High City. The program, presented by VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, features more than 300 events at a wide variety of art galleries, museums, theaters and concert halls many of which are deeply discounted.

5. Breakin' Convention

What: Breakin' Convention is the world's biggest festival of hip hop dance theatre showcasing the very best from around the world and around the corner. Kick off Breakin' Convention with the FREE 303 Jam on Saturday, November 4 from 1 to 5pm at The Buell Theatre for a FREE festival celebrating the event!

6. Fall back beer fest

7. La Calavera Catrina
