Dream Job Alert: This Blog Is Hiring Someone To Review Beers In Dublin

and last updated

Does getting paid to drink Guinness throughout Ireland’s capital city sound too good to be true? This dream job actually exists — and it’s currently up for grabs.

Travel blog The Irish Road Trip is looking for the perfect person to visit some of the most famous pubs in Dublin to try the pubs’ “pulls” of Guinness and write reviews of them for the site.

Between Nov. 8 and Dec. 6, the reviewer will hit a number of iconic spots in the Irish city, including The Gravediggers, The Long Hall, Mulligan’s The Strawberry Hall, Gaffney’s, Tom Kennedy’s and Toners.

Each review will be 250 words and must be accompanied by a high-quality photo of the brew. The taster will be reimbursed for the beer and will also be paid €22 ($24) an hour. The Guinness-lover will get two hours and two pints at each pub.

Since the legal drinking age in Ireland is 18, all applicants must be 18 or older.

If you think this sounds like the job you were born to do, write a 300-word review of a great pint of Guinness that you’ve thrown back recently and submit it to The Irish Road Trip site by Sept. 29.

They’ve already received nearly 8,000 applications, so if you want to be a contender, make sure to apply by the deadline! If you’re having trouble with the application submission form on the site, you can email your review to keith@memoriesfromireland.com.

Check out this Instagram post about the overwhelming interest they’ve received from applicants:
