The Denver Children’s Choir is celebrating 25 years of the harmony of children with a virtual holiday concert, Songs of the Season, premiering on YouTube Saturday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m.
In partnership with Denver7, the Denver Children’s Choir will be highlighting their all-time favorite songs in this virtual performance. The concert will be emceed Denver7 Morning Meteorologist Lisa Hidalgo and will feature more than 40 DCC alumni in a special presentation piece of In This Very Room, aa DCC tradition.
For 25 years, the Denver Children’s Choir has created a community space for Denver’s youth to come together from diverse backgrounds and cultures to celebrate differences and sing together in harmony. The DCC provides music education and choral literacy programming for children and youth ages 7–18, through 15 choir ensembles around Denver, with music instruction from basic through university level. With a dedication to accessible music education for underserved children, the Choir has never turned a child away due to their level of musical training or inability to pay.
